Infectiously fun, The Coconut Kids defy genres to create French-influenced world folk using ukulele, brass, bass, keys, violin, mandolin, percussion and powerful vocals. Their unique sound will have you dancing one minute and in tears the next.
As well as instigating the curious, effervescent and sold out pop-up event ‘The Coconut Club’, these kids have also dallied in the Australian festival circuit and had their international debut at South by South West 2017 (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
Their debut EP This Time Next Year delighted our ears in June 2016, warmed by their tribute to the resilience of the Parisian community Un De Plus in September 2016, and we got funky with their brassy soul track Sugar in July 2017. In 2018, they took to the Adelaide Fringe Festival Stage with Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oui! Oui! Oui! - a frenchification of Aussie pub classics.
